Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) systems are increasingly recognised as key enablers of circular economy infrastructure. Through regulatory obligations and stable funding streams, EPR can create the conditions for long-term investment, reduce market uncertainty, and drive the development of recycling and recovery capacities.

This session will explore how EPR systems can unlock capital flows and de-risk investments in sorting, recycling, and treatment infrastructure. We will highlight practical cases from different sectors and geographies, moving beyond the financing of waste collection services to focus on sustainable business models that strengthen the circular economy.

Speakers

  • Fritz Flanderka, Managing Director, Reclay Group
  • Nathalia Silva, General Manager, Valoramas GRANSIC Neumáticos
  • Peter Förster, Director of Project on Circular Economy, GIZ
  • Rakesh Kasturi, Chief Experience Officer, sprintdoctor
  • Konstantinos Karampourniotis, Partner Living Prospects

Together, our panel will discuss how EPR can act as a catalyst for circular investments, sharing practical insights on financing mechanisms, market creation, and risk management.

We look forward to welcoming you to this insightful discussion on how EPR can drive the circular economy forward.

All the best,

Your CESD Management Team
