How does Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) work in practice, and what does it mean for waste pickers and recyclers on the ground? This session brings together representatives of waste picker and secondhand operator organisations from South Africa, Chile, and Europe to share their experiences with EPR policies. Speakers will discuss the opportunities and challenges these systems create, drawing on lessons from implementation in different national contexts and offering perspectives from both the Global South and the Global North. Join us for a timely conversation on how EPR can support more inclusive and effective waste management systems!
