Exploring Extended Producer Responsibility for the Construction Sector | Recording
The Global Action Partnership for Extended Producer Responsibility invites you to join their online webinar “Exploring Extended Producer Responsibility for the Construction Sector”!
15 October 2024, 1:00 PM CEST, 90 minutes
Virtual event – online
The EU’s construction industry consumes nearly 50% of all extracted materials and generates almost 40% of the EU’s waste. Although nearly 95% of building materials are recyclable, less than 5% of their actual resource value is currently being preserved. Could Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) serve as a catalyst for sustainable construction? This webinar will strive to discuss this question by delving into the critical aspects of EPR and its implication for the construction industry.
Agenda:
- Setting the Scene – Andrew Brown, OECD
- The Discussion Paper “Extended Producer Responsibility in the construction sector. Exploring the potential.” – Lisa Graaf, BPIE
- Panel Discussion:
Mona Abdulghani Naji Mohammed (Programme Management Officer, UNEP and Global Alliance of Buildings and Construction)
Jérôme d’Assigny (Valobat, French PRO)
Jonna Byskata (Head of EU Public Affairs, Kingspan Group plc)
Dr Dirk Schwede (Professor for Energy and Building Services at the Technical University of Applied Science in Lübeck, Germany) - Q&A
