Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) has been a cornerstone of waste management worldwide, with ASEAN Member States making notable progress towards adopting and advancing EPR frameworks. This webinar will aim to explore alignments in EPR initiatives in ASEAN countries with global commitments against plastic pollution. Discussions will focus on sharing regional and national best practices in ASEAN and beyond, successes and challenges in implementing EPR frameworks from pilot activities, and identifying actionable recommendations to align with global commitments.

Organised in partnership with the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) and the Global Action Partnership for EPR (GAP for EPR), this webinar will feature global EPR experts from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), ERIA, GAP for EPR, and relevant stakeholders in the Southeast Asia region.
