Join to learn how Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) can unlock private investment for sustainable plastic waste solutions in emerging and developed markets. Led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), this session will highlight the role of EPR in attracting capital to circular economy initiatives and building the business case for investment in waste management and recycling infrastructure. Hear from private sector leaders and experts from IFC and partner institutions on how EPR schemes can help mobilize financing, support job creation, and deliver impactful and inclusive waste management solutions.

This is the second session in the Knowledge Sharing Series on EPR in the Plastics Sector, organized by the World Bank Group, and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), with support from PROBLUE. Set against the backdrop of the ongoing negotiations toward a Global Plastics Treaty, the series aims to support countries in designing and implementing effective EPR policies that deliver real results.
